This is a story from Irene, please read, it's really inspiring :)

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old rifle and three bullets. So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner. As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it. The rabbit ran away. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it. The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood tree. As he went further, he saw a large wild “Tom” turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining. A voice spoke to him and said, “Pray first, aim high and stay focused.” However, at the same time, he saw a deer which was a better kill. He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake. Still, the voice said again to him, “I said ‘Pray, Aim high and Stay focused.” So, the man decided to listen to God’s voice. He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer. The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it. And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond. When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a deer and a turkey to eat for his family. The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the man listened to God. Pray first before you do anything, Aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God. Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that, “the past.” Live every day one day at a time and remember that only God knows our future and that he will not put you through any more than you can bear. Do not look to man for your blessings, but look to the doors that only He has prepared in advance for you in your favor. Wait, be still and patient, keep God first and everything else will follow.

Hey girls.
This is Chinyi's experience‏ in PBB.
Please take some time to read and have a better understanding of PBB. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this 4 days and 3 nights camp, it was very fun! And I did not really get scolded throughout the camp. I shall go through what I have learnt according to the camp's time table.

First Day
PBB definitely started out to be fun for the first day, and I did not expect it to be that "slack". All of us passed the uniform inspection. Then we proceeded to take photos and everyone started to mix because we are given the task to arrange ourselves the way we wanted. One thing I first realised is that, we should be friendly first and everything becomes much easier, and as a senior and leader, initiative is really important. Then we had ice breakers and all the games planned by the officers. It was fun! Then we had group planning time. It is a time our group could really get together to talk for the first time (Oh,I was in patience. There's still other groups, love, joy and peace). It was then that I witnessd that everyone in PBB is a great leader and had a positive attitude, even though they said they are also quite unwilling to join the camp. There is one thing that had affected me most on the first day, it is lunch. I had a lot of food (and I somehow got the nick name "the vegetarian girl"). I seriously could not finish my food and I know my team mates are very full because everyone is done with their lunch except me. When I asked for help, nobody actually hesitated. They just automatically take a mouthful each and pass down and yeah...everything on my plate was gone within a few minutes. They even commentted that the food was not bad. I felt touched because, recalling to the previous training camp, our company actually had a different situation. No offence but its really a big difference to me. Then the other half of the day is the talk when we learn about being a woman after God's heart. The session is actually useful for me as I get to know so much more about God. The session actually made me realised one big mistake I have always made. It is taking God for granted. So...I would change that attiude~ Then there was games planned by my group and everyone in the group is given the opportunity to lead a game. So it is fair enough and I think the others have fun as well. Then its dinner and evaluation...That's all for the first day.

*Emergency whistle (2 long whistle blow) was blown to prepare us for the pulau ubin trip tomorrow. We are supposed to stop everything we are doing and gather at the gate. I was the only one who heard 2 full whistles because I missed my bed *sob* haha...but after that, the whole group of us went into deep sleep...

Second Day
We were supposed to wake up ealier and prepare for our devotion. We have to type out the lyrics of the songs we intend to sing before breakfast. However, my whole group overslept and made the mdm waited for half an hour! The whole group woke up in shock and rushed out of our dorms in the fastest speed and saw the mdm sitting right in front of the dorm,at the table waiting. We were like murmuring "Oh die. This time sure kena already." On the contrary, the mdm did not even scold us. The conversation goes like this:

Mdm: "Why are you all late? You know i have been sitting here for at least half an hour waiting for you?" (the tone was in a surprisingly nice way.)

One of our girl: "Erm...we actually set the alarm but none of us hear it. So we overslept."
Then we are like waiting for the scolding to come...

Mdm: " I typed out all the lyrics according to what you all have printed out. But you have to arrange the sequence of the verses yourself. I am not going to help you anymore."
And the mdm just left....

We are like "thank you mdm"...but left speechless and very very very guilty. At the end of the day,we told the mdm that we will owe her a punishment, and the punishment she made us do was a reflection report because we had no time to do any punishments physically. We are like so so so guilty~
Then the 4 groups are being given a punishment due before lunch time because we are always late. However, everyone was very willing to do the punishments because we know what we are punished for and we had to think of our own punishments. Plus we are not scolded! It is like we can't believe it we're in PBB camp! Yet,the officers are able to maintain such a high discipline in the camp. And my group was never late since then, we dare not. haha...
The second day was the day we went pulau ubin!
We had 2 games first and through the games, I learnt that communication between a group is very important. And communication must be good so that everyone knows clearly what is going on. One of the game is just a simple game of throwing stones. We must throw to 3 different person in the group and throw 3 consecutive times without anyone dropping the stones in the group. It was difficult because we keep repeating the same thing for like more than 1 hour! It made me realised that encouragement is actually a simple act,but it actually goes a long way. And being patient is definitely another learning point, because the game really needs a lot of patience. So...only our group patience are able to complete the 2 games~
Then it would be outdoor cooking and we are eating food from army! It was so cool because it's the first time I see. And from what I heard the food was nice. And there is no drinkable water in pulau ubin,so we have to use our 3 bottles of water wisely. So we just heat the food up and rinse our mastins in the sea water. That was our dinner. Then we had hiking at night. Everything was so cool that day! We're not supposed to use our torchlight unless it is neccessary e.g checking the map. We are supposed to hike to a certain destination and on our way,we have to open a can of lychee without using any tools or hitting it. The hike was stopped half way due to time constraint. For the can,we scrapped it on the road really hard and finally finish our desert for the day. From this hike, I have learnt to be more conscious of the people around me and not only care for myself. We have to keep a look out if the other group members are feeling well and if they are able to keep up and things like that. Of course, not forgetting about our officers attached to us as well. After the whole day of strenous activities, we are exhausted! Still,we have to build our own barsha (a simple tent). However, everyone tried their best to keep a positive mind and finish our job as fast as possible. Also, I went to help other groups out because they are struggling to keep the tent up. So everyone helped each other and nobody cared about groups anymore. We just randomly went around to offer help and worked as a whole camp! The feeling was heart-warming. Although we are all tired but we still helped each other...

We all slept uncomfortably that night and I was bitten by mosquitoes although I'm all covered up. Sigh...haha. Oh, and we are not allowed to bathe so we powder bath that day. The whole tent had a great variety of smell, from the different flavours of baby powder to the different flavours of mosquitoe repellent. haha...

Third Day
On the third day we are prepared to go back early in the morning and we had devotions without any music that day. After that was sharing about the bible and quiet time. Then it was breakfast. My group forgot to feed our officers! Again we got ourselves a punishment but was somehow forgotten...but we still feel so guilty because the officers really love us a lot and we keep disappointing them...Ten we went back n bus and had sessions again. This time, the session is about GB international. We are each given the opportunity to go up and talk about how we want to serve GB after we graduated. For me, I would want to go back to my own company to serve. Also,if I am given the opportunity, I would like to serve in the community e.g prisons. Of course, these activities are for GB! That night,we had a special night. Every group will prepare an item and perform. It was a crazy night and we had so much fun hugging each other and taking photos. The third day was rather relaxing because the ofiers think that we had already had a tough time in pulau ubin. That day, what I have learnt is that, officers are also humans. They too need the care and concern from us.

Fourth Day
It was a short day because it is the last day. We all have to go up the stage and talk about what we have learnt and what we would bring back to my company. Honestly,my speech might be a little straight forward for our company, but I hope we will learn together because I am also learning. So my speech is generally like that, and i dunno why they laugh a lot. haha...
"Everyone who comes up here will always say I have learnt a lot. *laughs* But its really true. *even louder laughs* So I dont want to repeat. What i want to share is that our officers really love us a lot. They will give like whoa! mountains of food *laugh* and still ask enough rice a not arh? And the night when we are supposed to have extra time till 11.30,but we actually overshot the time. Though they are not very happy with us but still give us until 12? when they can simply say lights out. So the officers really loves us. Also,I would like to bring back these values i have learnt from PBB back to my company and encourage more girls to work hard for PBB. Because for what i know,my company's girls are actually scared of PBB. Because our seniors told us PBB is strict (which it should be strict) and we think too much *laughs*. So I hope I could convince my company's girls that PBB is fun!"

So yeah, that's all for my grandmother's story. I have learnt the importance of values like integrity, punctuality, sense of emergency, sense of responsibility and also teamwork and more. I really hope that more girls wants to join PBB next year because I feel like a loner when i first arrived HQ~ haha...And nobody will regret going for PBB,because I did not regret it.
